Student Technology, Agile & Readiness Training (S.T.A.R.T) Program

S.T.A.R.T. is a 10-week internship program offered by BNY Mellon, which gives high-potential students the opportunity to gain valuable, well-rounded internship experience and get a real-world look into what it's like to work for a global financial services company.

S.T.A.R.T interns will participate in a robust technical experience in JavaScript, Python, CSS, Java, and more. This program is an immense development and learning opportunity for students with a passion for Technology. It gives you an opportunity to explore, discover and drive your purpose .

Program Locations:

• Manchester

Primary Responsibilities:

• Software development focusing on design, coding, and testing
• Analyze requirements and create specifications and design documents

• Research on different technologies & methodologies to recommend the optimal solutions to the problem
• Building robust, reliable, and scalable solutions in a cross-functional team environment

Program Eligibility/Qualifications:

• Penultimate undergraduate students, completing degree program with a strong focus on technology-related majors. i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar major with extensive computer-based or technical content)

• Strong academic background
• Does not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the region were applying

Preferred skills:

• A great attitude and desire for learning
• Excellent problem solving, written and oral communication skills

• Disciplined self-starter, capable of working independently or in close collaboration
• Smart and driven individual who is passionate about learning new technologies
